I decided I wanted to become a Stop Champion after getting increasingly interested and involved in my local feminist community. I found myself talking and writing a lot about the everyday injustices happening to women all around me, but I also felt guilty for not really doing anything about it. Scottish Women’s Aid is an organisation I have a huge amount of respect for, and the work they do it utterly vital. I was really happy to get the opportunity to join in and be part of that work. I’m a Further Education lecturer, and I’m hoping to put my newfound skills into place by working with my students to raise awareness about domestic abuse and how, together, we can stop it.
